They call them “The Dog Days of Summer” because ancient folks believed that the Dog Star, which is in close proximity to the sun, was responsible for the hot weather. I thought it was because my dog did nothing but lie around for a month or two.
Either way, the hot weather has done little to slow down my spirited child. We have been practicing swimming, hiking around Old Man’s Cave, and playing in the basement.
Life is busy, but good…
